Sequel to a companion piece to someone else's... what?
As I deleted a few things I had posted out of my WIP folder, I realized if I let two bunnies/stories go, I would be down to a single column of WIPs! So here's the first: a sequel to Sandcastles, a fic that I wrote as a companion to
silverraven's Castles in the Air. She's writing a sequel to her fic too, and what I've sketched out doesn't really fit in with what I've seen of hers, so...
Sandcastles
Notes
-Runs around doing everything with his seventeen year old body for a while, dragging Rodney along, twisting the world around him like he wants. Sex!
-Gets bored. Feels like someone's watching sometimes (Rodney).
-Realizes Atlantis is becoming hazy. Relives Atlantis; the people can only be poor imitations of themselves, so he misses Ronon and Teyla immensely - things are going just like his memories of them - he loses control to change the endings, and so becomes depressed.
-Finally gets to the end of his memories and realizes he can make up the ending. Fantasizes about going back through the gate, saving Teyla, and living on Atlantis. His only knowledge of Rodney is that he gets together with Keller, so to make Rodney real, he puts that into his character. And agonizes as he watches him with her.
-Ends this part of the program, as it's too painful to watch Rodney with Jennifer.
-Starts the cabin program. Puts them in their thirties, like Rodney was when they first met. It's his fantasy, after all. Why shouldn't he have Rodney? He knows this isn't real. It's only for a little while anyway. Maybe after a couple of months he'll switch over to the Matrix reality he was thinking about, flying and leaping buildings and stuff.
