MCU/Avengers Accidentally-Female!Cap WIP up for adoption

When body-guarding for T'Challah, Steve gets hit with a spell that turns him female, and he is more okay with that than expected.

I wanted to write a fic with some aspects of mission!fic, but I don't actually know how to write that? And if you want to explore/ play with/write this, all I ask is that Cap not be upset at the sex-and-gender fuckery, and that he just kind of roll with it.

The Google Docs Link, with my notes and the work so far, and the single published chapter before I had to admit I don't know what to do.

If you want to redo and repost this, I can take mine down, or if you want to leave what I have up and link a continuation of the work, we can do that.

I just wanted to say, sympathies. I've also run into this surprise discovery ... a few times lol.

And though I can't pick this one up, I like the idea of Cap rolling with the change. Having been through a different significant physical change could help a surprising amount.

That was my thinking as well, that if Cap didn’t really care much about gender or didn’t identify much with his body, that the change would be less startling, having been through a major transformation once before and literally run with it. It would be a very possible interpretation of his character to not have those strong identities, and I wanted to make Cap like me. But I apparently don’t know how to write my own identity as a story.
